Tree work in Fairfield West: questions.
Do I need council approval to remove a tree in Fairfield West?
Often. Fairfield West is in the Fairfield City Council area, where a permit is usually needed for over 4 m tall, 3 m spread, or trunk over 75 mm at 1 m (much smaller on riparian land). Exempt species and some pruning don't need one. Our Fairfield guide walks through it with a checker.
Does the 10/50 bushfire rule apply in Fairfield West?
2% of Fairfield West is mapped as bush fire prone land, mostly along its bushland edges. The 10/50 rule may apply to some addresses — check yours with the RFS tool. The RFS 10/50 tool, not the suburb, decides. See the 10/50 rule explained.
Do you work in Fairfield West?
Yes. We work right across Sydney from four bases (Engadine, Ryde, Gordon and Bankstown), including Fairfield West and nearby Fairfield Heights, Wakeley and Canley Heights.
How much does tree removal cost in Fairfield West?
It depends on the tree's size, access, what's underneath and whether you want the stump ground. A tree over the roof or against the house usually comes down in sections, so it's priced on time and care rather than size alone. Quotes are free and no-obligation. See what affects the cost.
